My Online Podcasting 101 Workshop Makes Podcasting Easy!
A two hour workshop drawing from 15 years of podcasting experience.

When I started podcasting in 2005, there wasn’t an instruction manual. Google and YouTube weren’t the tools they are now. So I had to teach myself how to podcast, through a lot of time consuming trial and error.
Of course, in 2020, we have the opposite problem. There’s too much instruction on how to create a podcast. Or how to do anything, for that matter. The sheer volume of instructional content can become intimidating and time consuming to sort through.
A few years back, I launched my Podcasting 101 workshop on Airbnb’s Experiences platform. The goal of the workshop was, and still is, to make podcasting accessible and affordable. Meaning, demystifying the process to make podcasting understandable to anyone who wants to learn, and doing so at a reasonable price point. The workshop emphasizes affordable hardware, software, and web choices for podcasting.
When COVID hit, all in-person activities ceased, and the workshop was no exception. But then everything went online! And that includes my Podcasting 101 workshop.
In moving the workshop online, I made some changes from the in-person edition. The workshop still covers the fundamentals of podcast hardware and software, recording, production (editing), formatting, and publishing to the web and mobile platforms. But it now emphasizes remote recording, specifically.
Remote recording means recording an interview from your own home, with a guest who’s at their home. In the age of social distancing, you can still conduct interviews with the talent and thought leaders you want on your podcast, without needing to be in the same physical space as them. Better yet, you can reach out to anyone from anywhere in the world to guest on your podcast! Previously, the majority of interviews were conducted in-person, and thus limited by physical location and availability.
Dates and times are available now for my two hour Podcasting 101 class. Best of all, since the workshop is virtual, you can sign up from anywhere in the world.
Feel free to reply in this post’s comments, or reply if you’re reading this as an email, with the podcasting topics you’d like to learn about. They could be covered in an upcoming workshop. And in a future post, I’ll be talking about my one-on-one podcast coaching services.
I look forward to helping you create your awesome podcast.
